About this course

This course will navigate you through the basics of inclusion, ensuring that you’re fully equipped to understand the workplace challenges of equity and diversity and bring your organisation’s vision to life swiftly, efficiently and effectively.


  • Understand the provisions of the Equality Act 2010
  • Be able to identify the 9 protected characteristics
  • Define relevant terms such as discrimination, harassment, bullying and victimisation in the context of the Act
  • Explain the differences between equality, equity, diversity and inclusion

With a career spanning over 35 years, Jill has worked for a number of higher education institutions advising them on a number of key initiatives, and leading on projects including Dignity at Work, Athena Swan and Race Equality Charter submissions.

Her expert knowledge and understanding of inclusion topics led to increased demand for bespoke training across a wide range of businesses. Since 2006, Jill has delivered bespoke training to companies in topics specialising in issues around race and gender equality, unconscious and implicit bias, and issues around workplace bullying and harassment.
